The White Lion Hotel is situated on the seafront in Aldeburgh, opposite the shingle beach where fresh fish is still sold from wooden fishing huts. It combines a seafood restaurant and traditional restaurant all-in-one. The emphasis is very much on sourcing fresh seasonal produce, and this is evident in the hotel’s Taste of Suffolk menu.

The elegant AA rosette Restaurant 1563 offers fine dining in an impressive room with oak panelled walls, a warm and friendly ambience and a log fire in Winter. Here you’ll enjoy mouth watering seafood dishes, traditional roasts and wonderful vegetarian dishes. Dining by the sea is an impression reinforced in The Bar, where traditional lunches come with wonderful sea views of Aldeburgh Beach.
