Hill House Koi
When Geoffrey Wilson started keeping koi in 1977, he would never have predicted that these glorious fish would one day become his livelihood. Today, with no less than 10 grand champions to his credit, Geoff travels regularly to Japan to select and purchase relatively small to medium numbers of high-grade koi to offer for sale to hobbyists at affordable prices. Specifically, he concentrates on body shape, skin quality, bloodlines, colour and pattern when choosing which fish to bring home. He visits Japan’s top breeders, as well as some lesser known ones, in both Nigata and other recognised koi producing areas such as Torazo, Dinichai, Hiroy, Muruyama, Oofuchi, Seki, Marudo, Sakai (Isawa), Shinoda, Sakuma, Hosaki and Yamazaki. This has enabled him to import high grade tosai and nisai together with specific examples of go sanke koi in sansai, yonsai and gosai.
