A joint venture between the National Trust and Trinity House enables you to follow a self-guided walking trail round this unique and mysterious site and get the rare opportunity to visit a working lighthouse (built in the 18th Century) guided by the attendant.

Due to space, at times there may be a short wait for the lighthouse tour.

Ferries run every 20 mins from Orford Quay between 10.00am and 1.40pm. Last ferry leaves the Ness at 5.00pm.

Camouflage is essential so please wear inconspicuous clothing! These walks are always popular, so book early to avoid disappointment. The tearoom will be open early after these walks so that you can warm up with a hot drink and a light breakfast.
