300th Anniversary of the Thamar organ coming to St Michael's Church, Framlingham - 7 June 2008 at 7:30pm Framlingham Church houses many treasures, not the least being the magnificent Thamar organ which sits proudly up in the West End of the church. For 300 years this instrument has enhanced the worship, been played for countless weddings, funerals and memorial services. Many recitals have been given, and it is thought that Mendelssohn may have played it when he visited George Attwood who was Rector here for many years. Start: 10:30
