Thomas Crisp at Butley Mills, Butley (Sleeps 2)
Thomas Crisp, Butley Mills. Just a minute from the village of Butley, close to the Suffolk coast at Orford this newly decorated and very comfortable one bedroom holiday apartment conversion is part of an historic mill building; Thomas Crisp has a double bedroom, open plan living room with small but fully equipped kitchen, dining table for two, sitting room and shower room. It has private access, via an external wooden staircase, and is the only apartment in Butley Mills that will allow a dog. There is a large laundry on the ground floor of Butley Mills with washing machines and dryers.
You would be hard pressed to find a more attractive location. To one side is the mill pond, with a small copse beyond, which eventually leads to Rendlesham Forest; to the other reed beds and the Alde and Ore river. An ideal spot for anyone keen on bird watching, walking or cycling. This is a superb location for bird watching - look out for the marsh harriers, oyster catchers, avocets and owls which all nest near by.
Thomas Crisp sits on a Site of Special Scientific Interest, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and within a former working mill, with functioning sluice. Beautiful views in all directions!
