The beautiful timbered Tudor pub opened its doors after a major refurbishment in December 2012.
Owned by Sophe and Mark Dorber who run the successful village pub The Anchor in Walberswick are keen to return The Swan to its fortunes. The Swan at Stratford St Mary. Mark a keen beer and wine fan ensures a fantastic wine list and real ales are always on offer.
They invested in the enomatic wine dispenser system which means that you can try unusual and newly arrived wines by the glass before you decide to buy a bottle.
There are cosy fires in each room for those Winter days and a large terrace and beer garden for the lazy Summer evenings. Across from the pub is the resident Derek the Duck who keeps a watchful eye on the pub and the comings and goings of the River Stour. You can row or canoe up the river to stop off and nip in for a well earned pint and a bite to eat.
