It looks like a Southwold beach hut, and is decorated with bunting, a fake fish tank, colourful seaside murals, and a sandpit; the Fish Hut can usually be found near one of Nick’s pubs, The Bell Inn, Walberswick or The Harbour Inn, Southwold.
As Nick has concerns about overfishing, all of the fish he serves are sustainably and locally caught within strict quotas. All cod is caught by long lining on the local day boats, which supports the Blackshore fishermen.
The Fish Hut won “Best Main Dish” at the British Street Food Awards and is a finalist in the 2012 awards.
You can book it for private parties and functions or drop in and see him at the 2012 Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival, a two-week event celebrating excellent local food and drink in Suffolk.
