Suffolk Farmhouse Cheeses, Ipswich
Suffolk Farmhouse Cheeses is family run business established in July 2004 by Jason and Katharine Salisbury. From the milk of their own herd of pedigree Guernseys, they produce fine hand-made cheeses by traditional methods.
The two main types of cheese produced are Suffolk Gold ( a creamy semi-hard farmhouse cheese, delicious flavour with a rich golden colour) and Suffolk Blue (a creamy lightly blue-veined cheese. Whilst the blue veining is seasonal in appearance, the depth of flavour remains.)
They also make other dairy products and rear their own beef and pork.
They have recently won the BALE (Best Alternative Land Enterprise) awards run by the Suffolk Agricultural Association.
