Lawson's Delicatessen, Aldeburgh

Lawson’s Delicatessen is owned and run by Richard Lawson and Claire Bruce-Clayton who have a simple philosophy: a friendly, welcoming shop with knowledgeable staff selling carefully sourced and delicious foodstuffs.



Lawson’s has won ‘Deli of the Year Award 2010′ and has also been judged ‘Best Delicatessen’ in the Suffolk Food and Drink Awards in 2007, 2008 and 2009. Their pork pies, made by Claire with locally produced Blythburgh free range pork, were awarded ‘Champion Pie of Pies’ at the 2009 Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival.



 Many of the products stocked in the shop are sourced from within Suffolk, which has a rich and diverse network of artisan food producers, but you will also find plenty of produce from further afield.
The products made daily by Claire and her team in Lawson’s kitchen are very popular too – expect in season local game terrines, asparagus tarts, salads, soups and sweet pastries.



 To make life easier for you when you arrive, they will deliver supper, a light snack and/or breakfast essentials to your cottage. The products are carefully selected for each hamper, sourcing local and/or organic produce where possible. Cottage pies, fish pies and roast vegetable lasagnes are prepared by our experienced chefs in the delicatessen kitchens.
All hampers are sufficient for four people.
