Down on the farm, this Suffolk holiday cottage is surrounded by acres of hillside grazing, where cattle are rounded using horses and youngsters and adults are welcome to observe the farm at work (foals and calves are born between March and May. Brights Farm Lodge
(sleeping 7, 2 well-behaved dogs welcome), is a delightful, newly built self catering property. Rooms are generously sized and every generation is catered for: travel cot, highchair and stair gate for babies and toddlers, wheelchair access, ground floor bedrooms and wet room shower for anyone with mobility problems. The well-equipped kitchen is part of a really large living room; a door leads to the stairs and the first floor two bedrooms, family bathroom.

The outlook over the attractive mature gardens is stunning, there is also a large sun-trap terrace and grassed area, fenced to ensure that toddlers and small dogs do not stray.  Slip through the gate and you then have the run of the garden where there is a lovely pond and a tree sea. Calving takes place in the spring and autumn and guests are very welcome to observe the calving and visit the young calves and foals with the owners.

Bramfield is a compact and attractive village surrounded by open countryside, rich pasture land on one side and Sandlings common on the other running towards the coast at Southwold. Gorse and heather create a perfect habitat for a number of rare ground nesting birds, colourful butterflies and excellent grazing for deer. Just a few miles from Dunwich, Minsmere, Walberswick and Southwold, this is an area of wide skies and breath-taking landscapes. Walkers, cyclists and bird watchers will be in their element. There are various boat trips available both in the Blyth Estuary and from Southwold Harbour. Theatre lovers should check out The New Cut Arts Centre in the fascinating old market town of Halesworth, where there is a year round programme of entertainment.
