Acorn Barn, Blaxhall (Sleeps 2)
Surrounded by water meadows, arable fields and heathland, interspersed with copses of native trees, Acorn Barn is the perfect rural retreat for any couple.
The barn itself is newly converted and very spacious with both a ground floor and first floor sitting room, a brand new open plan kitchen, large double bedroom, bathroom and 1st floor en-suite cloakroom.
French doors lead from the sitting room to a large sheltered patio with table and chairs and uninterrupted views across the garden and water meadows of the Alde River. The nearest visible habitation in this direction is The Snape Maltings Concert Hall. Looking west you will see miles of attractive undulating countryside.
The location and finish of Acorn Barn makes this property ideal for walkers (with or without dogs), cyclists (there are a number of 'quiet' lanes near by), musicians (concerts at Snape) and birdwatchers. Surrounded by lovely walks the area has a profusion of wildlife including garden, heathland and coastal birds. Owls and woodpeckers are constant visitors to the garden. There are herds of deer nearby (some visit the garden) and overhead you might well see buzzards and marsh harrier.
